Description:
Support the eLearning service portfolio and third party integrations within our client's Digital Learning Environment to serve the teaching and learning needs. Provide consultative and project-based support services for faculty in the use of eLearning applications. Assess overall use of eLearning applications and help guide strategic planning efforts. Is responsible for parts of an eLearning services portfolio.
 
 
  • 40%
    • Provide service management, support and strategies for eLearning applications, third party integrations, and related instructional technologies.
    • Develop and deliver support documentation and conduct workshops for faculty, students and instructional support partners.
    • Develop content related to operational communications for both external and internal web-based information resources.
    • Communicate routinely with technical staff on requests and incidents assigned to them to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of requests and incidents.
    • Assist in gathering key metrics on service in partnership with technical staff and stakeholders.
    • Communicate essential information regarding system updates, maintenance and enhancements with support partners across the University.
    • Work to improve services on a continual basis, based on feedback received from clients, on-going assessment of application usage, and usability studies.

    • Provide consultative and project-based support services for faculty in the use of eLearning applications and third party integrations for face-to-face, blended and fully online courses.
    • Participate in new or existing instructional technology projects as assigned and work with project teams to establish deliverables, track progress and keep faculty and colleagues informed of project status and accomplishments.

    • Assist in assessing the overall use of eLearning applications, including third party integrations, and guide strategic planning efforts necessary to ensure services align with the evolving needs of clients.
    • Work closely with the IT Vendor Management Engagement team on new and renewal of licensing tools and applications.
    • Supervise student support staff in their daily service related tasks and check for accuracy and timely completion of projects.

    • Collaborate with instructional support partners and participate in university committees and working groups that help guide the governance, planning, and on-going improvement of eLearning services.

    • Ensure competence through on-going professional development. Attend conferences, enroll in classes, read trade and professional publications.
 
Required Education
 
Bachelor's degree in educational media, instructional technology or related field.
 
Required Experience
 
2-3 years relevant professional experience in higher education.
 
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
 
  • Experience supporting faculty and students in the use of learning management systems such as Sakai, Blackboard, Moodle, and/or Canvas; audience response systems such as Turning Point and iClickers; web conferencing tools such as WebEx or Zoom; and lecture capture applications such as Panopto or Mediasite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain high levels of creativity and quality.
  • Ability to be flexible in work assignments that may require changing priorities regularly.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines, stay on track, and communicate workflow obstacles while working on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Self- starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.
  • Ability to be proactive, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and work with little supervision.
