Business Analyst WMS and Logistics – Act as the liaison between Warehousing, Fulfillment and Logistics Systems Business Users and the IT Team providing support and enhancement releases for existing systems.
Responsibilities:

Work with business users to identify and document requirements.

Perform gap analysis to determine if requirements are met by existing application or will require some form of enhancement.

Identify alternatives to close gaps, making recommendations that best suit the business need and the long-term application strategy. Translate these alternatives into an explicit list of required enhancements (process, reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, workflow).

Perform the detailed functional design of the application enhancements. Document the application to facilitate on-going support and future release development.

Facilitate business-owner reviews and obtain sign-off on functional designs.

Work with other team members to ensure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.

Support the development team as it configures, builds, and tests the application enhancements.

Plan, prepare, and help with the execution of quality assurance and user acceptance testing. Engage business users during UAT and facilitate sign-off on test results.

Support QA and UAT by implementing design changes to address defects found in testing.

Perform tasks for Project Management and Coordination of activities across all team members for delivery of small releases of bug fixes and small enhancements

Inform the Application Manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.

Prepare any training or instructional materials that will be needed to aid users.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
· Minimum of five years total experience with as Business Analyst supporting applications in the Warehouse Management, Shipping and Logistics domains
· Must have a deep functional knowledge of the following business process areas – Inventory Receipts, Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, Shipping/Logistics,

Experience working with business users throughout the SDLC, from analysis through design, build, test and deployment.

Experience in leading design review sessions.

Experience with Manhattan Associate WMS would be a plus

Ability to translate requirements into functional designs.

Ability to talk both business and technical teams in order to properly convey messages and key points to both business users and technical developers.

Ability to work independently with minimal assistance.

Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve.

Strong organizational skills. Strong communication (verbal & written) skills.

Prior experience in Publishing and/or Distribution businesses would be a plus. Consulting experience also a plus.
