Business Systems Support Analyst

Job Summary

·       This role will cover support and maintenance of:

o  Integrations to our MES System (BatchMetrics)

o  In House Developed ERP System based on PowerBuilder and Microsoft SQL Server

·       Our Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will jump right into action working on data related issues to solve business challenges, while helping to improve processes and answering emerging questions.  

·       BatchMetrics deployment was recently completed for all manufacturing areas. The core BatchMetrics system is supported by the vendor. The BSA will support the integrations between the legacy ERP System and BatchMetrics which is achieved via drop-off and pick-up of transactions in both directions using an intermediate SQL Database.

·       The candidate must have good data analysis skills, great communication skills and a willingness to learn and become involved in the new ERP implementation and future state systems. The candidate will need to work closely with internal Business Users and IT Team Members, as well as consultants and vendors. The candidate will have a chance to learn/support existing Salesforce.Com integrations using MuleSoft as well as being part of the team to design/develop new integrations with future systems.


Job Responsiblilities

o  Gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing ERP System and BatchMetrics MES System with the support of internal IT Team and Consultants as needed.

o  Take inquiries/requests regarding ERP System and/or BatchMetrics integrations

o  Determine viability of issues/requests through analysis and recommend/take corrective actions

o  Monitor and manage issues related to interfaces to/from the BatchMetrics System

o  Creation/Maintenance of SQL stored procedures may be required to resolve issues

o  Handle data requests from business user teams requiring analysis and extraction of the related fields from the ERP database to Excel, CSV or other formats

o  Strong analytical skills required including thorough understanding of how to interpret customer inquiries and determine root cause of issues

o  Work independently to resolve recognized issues in coordination with management, business users and other IT Team Members

o  Ability to map out a plan for larger issue resolution and enhancement requests. Communicate the steps/timeline and execute the projects independently.

o  Work closely with other IT Team Members and Vendors to resolve open issues



o  Minimum 4 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server

o  Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server database design and ability to create stored procedures

o  Willingness to learn and expand areas of knowledge

o  Good knowledge of Object Oriented Design

o  Experience with change control and system development lifecycle concepts

o  Fundamental knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems principles, approaches and technologies

o  Strong spreadsheet importing/exporting knowledge

o  Strong Systems Analysis skills including the ability to write and revise standards and procedures

o  Strong Organizational, oral presentation and written communication skills

o  Ability to organize and prioritize work while accomplishing goals under time constraints

o  Strong interpersonal skills, ambitious, proactive and detail oriented

o  Solution oriented problem solving skills

o  Ability to gather and document existing business processes

o  Positive approach and enthusiasm to learn

o  Experience implementing and supporting ERP System(s) would be a plus

o  Experience with BatchMetrics MES System would be a big plus

o  Crystal Reports experience would be a plus

o  Mulesoft experience would be a plus
