What You Will Be Doing
seeking a Back-End Software Developer with 5+ years of design and development experience. Candidate will be joining the existing team and be responsible for the design and development of new and existing API endpoints and back-end application logic
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain dynamic web applications and services (APIs) using PHP 7
• Build middleware applications to facilitate cross system communications
• Develop database objects and data models supporting the applications
• Database management - primarily MySQL, but also MSSQL and Oracle
• Conform to coding standards using industry best practices
• Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements
• Upgrade and extend legacy systems from PHP 5.5 to PHP 7
• Document requirement and design specifications
• Perform quality control on deliverables
What You Need to Bring
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Experience in PHP (5 & 7), MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript (jQuery), AJAX, XML
• Understanding of MVC frameworks: Laravel and CodeIgniter required
• Experience with SOAP and RESTful API programming - both consuming and publishing
• Proficient building database objects including views, procedures, functions, schema and data migrations
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with command line instructions using Linux
• Strong GIT workflow skills – distributed version control
• Experience with Elastic Stack desired
• Experience with SSO workflows, specifically oAuth
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Ability to complete projects with strict deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor degree in information systems or equivalent
