Project Manager

 

The Project Manager at our client is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives, planning and tracking client and internal projects. This will include working with the account management team and engineers for scope review, scheduling of equipment preparation and onsite work, documenting and tracking of details for the project, and follow up throughout the project work.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the account management teams on the creation and review of the project documentation.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings with support team.
  • Create client facing project plans. Liaise with the client contacts to ensure the deliverables are clearly communicated.
  • During the scoping of the project, insure that all equipment has been ordered, proper downtime is scheduled, and all resources have been accounted for and funded
  • Work with the Engineering and Network Operation Staff for resource assignments and scope review
  • Confirm that equipment orders have been placed and ensure the delivery dates align with the project timeline.
  • Coordinate scheduling of the equipment configuration, delivery and installation at the client site.
  • Create the appropriate project tickets in ConnectWise, including itemized details of the work that needs to be completed.
  • Periodic follow up with the technical teams to ensure the projects are proceeding as scheduled. Resolve any issues that may arise that will impact the deliverables.
  • Maintain excellent communications, both with client and internally, setting and reinforcing expectations and ensuring there are no surprises
  • Post implementation follow up with both the client and tech support teams.
  • Oversee the client onboarding process. This includes information gathering and verification, data, document the client profiles in IT Glue, and follow up on any missing information not provided during the initial onboarding.
  • Schedule calls with clients who are being on boarded to ensure their expectations are being managed, and to introduce the support team.
  • Inform the  management team if there are critical issues preventing the completion of scheduled work.

Knowledge and Skill Requirement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous background in project management with five years’ experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certification in project management, PMP, is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, connect with the customers and build strong relationships
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Sufficient technical background to be able to evaluate scopes of work in areas such as networking, servers, VMWare, storage and data backups.
  • History of successful completion of large-scale projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work with the various teams within Atlantic as well as the Managed IT clients.
  • Ability to formulate stakeholder assessment, engagement and obtain buy-in strategies and execution.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent client-facing and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies, principles, and practice.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes and manage multiple projects at the same time.
