Oracle Techno-Functional Consultant A/R
Role - Work in both technical and functional capacity to deliver enhancements and new reporting for the Oracle EBS Accounts Receivable Module
Responsibilities
Act as point of contact with business users and document requirements for enhancements and new reporting for the Accounts Receivable Group
Based on business requirements create the proposed functional and technical design for the work to be performed
Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
Develop and execute unit test plans.
Develop common test data and perform functional and end to end testing of application enhancements
Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
Document the application to facilitate maintenance.
Drive code, final deliverable, and user acceptance reviews.
Provide post production support for all proposed enhancements
Required Skills
Knowledge of Oracle EBS applications, database and custom development concepts
Must have strong functional understanding of A/R Processes and ability to generate functional design documents, process flows, user acceptance test plans etc.
Minimum of ten years hands on experience with Oracle development
At least three years of experience working in a techno/functional role with responsibility for doing the end to end functional and technical work for application enhancements in Oracle EBS
Experience delivering reports using Oracle Reports and BI Publisher
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable business process flows and capabilities within Oracle EBS
Able to interact effectively and communicate in business terms with business users in the Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections and Tax Departments
Deep knowledge of processes such as invoicing, cash applications, statements, dunning notices, and credit/collections
Knowledge of the limitations of the Oracle system with respect to security, performance, customization, etc.
Strong technical skills, including SQL and PL/SQL
Custom development experience with Oracle Applications
Knowledge of Oracle EBS Accounts Receivable and Advanced Collections Modules and the database structures associated with these modules.
Understanding of basic object oriented concepts
Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve
Ability to work independently with minimal assistance
