Description:
Position: The company is embarking on a project to accelerate and transition its vendor enablement program to an external full-service EDI provider.  
 
The EDI Coordinator will report into the purchasing organization and manage / execute implementation of supplier side EDI transactions (850, 855, 870, 856, 810, 832, 846) via the EDI service provider. As part of this transition, the candidate will also evaluate issues with the current EDI processes and work with internal and external stakeholders to design/implement solutions to close current gaps in the EDI transition flow between vendor and the company’s ERP system.
 
Required Duties / Deliverables
 
  • Serve as the internal functional project lead to transition EDI processes to an external full-service EDI provider.
  • Point person for communicating status/implementation progress to all parties involved.
  • Identify gaps where available technology and business needs do not align. Work with project team to close the gaps
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information to create solid business requirements.
  • Convert business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements with a lens toward how best to use the available technology platforms.
  • Work with the business, technical and service provider in architecting solutions.
  • Create and implement test scenarios and scripts for Systems Integration Testing.
  • Support the execution of User Acceptance Testing
  • Support go-live and hyper-support activities.
  • Transition work product to the Purchasing EDI Lead.
 
Qualification:
 
  • 5+ years of experience as a EDI Coordinator working with the 800 series transaction sets.
  • Proficiency and understanding of all major EDI transaction sets used in a distribution environment including Purchase Order, PO Acknowledgement, Advance Shipping Notification, Invoice, Catalog, and Inventory Information        Proficiency with EDI X12 formats and ability to read and understand data stream.
  • Experience working with EDI in an ERP solution environment.
  • Familiarity working with EDI full-service providers
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and clearly define objectives
