Description:

Responsible for developing, testing and implementing web and mobile applications. Works with the User Experience and Design teams to translate design requirements/recommendations into functional components and screens. Provides technical supports, as necessary.

  1. Implements websites, landing pages, and applications from concept through deployment with a responsive, mobile-first approach.
  2. Creates and maintains in-house web and mobile applications.
  3. Works with the User Experience and Design teams to translate design requirements and recommendations into functional HTML and Javascript.
  4. Oversees and maintains Northwell s digital style guide for various channels.
  5. Creates and maintains documentation surrounding front-end best practices, processes and procedures.
  6. Provides technical insight to the user experience and creative teams on client-facing and internal wireframe and composition projects.
  7. Bug fix, QA and problem solving. Assists in maintain, updating and improving existing websites and applications.
  8. Adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards, apply Web Accessibility standards (508 compliance), and allow for effective Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  9. Provides production support as needed.
  10. Performs related duties as required.
     

*ADA Essential Functions

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Communications or related field, required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in web development, required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills; time management, multi-tasking and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, required.
  • Experience with JavaScript Libraries and Frameworks (e.g. JQuery, Angular, React), required.
  • Ability to write clean, scalable/modular code through source control, GIT required.
  • Ability to design and code for accessibility, including section 508 requirements, required.
  • Experience working with XAMPP environments, required.
  • Experience with open source content management platforms like Drupal (7 or 8) and WordPress, preferred.
  • Experience with PatternLab, preferred.
