OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

 

The QA Testing Analyst will work with Agile Scrum Teams and other Project and Operational Support teams to support the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple and/or complex implementations. The Testing Analyst will work collaboratively to support individual system testing, system integration testing, end-to-end integration testing, performance testing, smoke testing, and regression testing across the enterprise for releases of multiple applications. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, new development, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, etc.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·        Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Teams to understand business needs and associated product features – demonstrate an understanding of how the product is intended to meet the business/stakeholder needs

 

·        Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Teams establish clear quality acceptance criteria within and across sprints

 

·        Work with the Delivery Teams to identify and prioritize product defects based on business impact/value using clearly defined criteria

 

·        Review user requirements and associated documentation to support effective test plan development and expected results

 

·        Execute testing processes for Agile or Waterfall execution

 

·        Develop end-to-end testing plans, test scripts, test cases, and test reports

 

·        Execute end-to-end SIT and associated testing, i.e., Performance, Smoke, Regression, etc., and support defect remediation by providing expected results and defect information

 

·        Collaborate with Business users, Product Owners, BAs and Develipers to develop and document test scenarios

 

·        Document all test scripts, expected results, test execution results, etc. in TestRail or associated Testing Tools

 

·        Review QA results with appropriate stakeholders

 

·        Support User Acceptance Testing and help to validate user expectations

 

·        Attend project meetings and/or Scrum ceremonies as needed

 

·        Ensure all IT policies & procedures are followed

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Work Experience

 

·        Test Analyst: 3 years (Required)

 

·        Broadcast/Media and Entertainment experience (Preferred)

 

·        Experience working in either a Waterfall method or Agile method

 

?Knowledge and Skills

 

·        Strong communication and collaboration skills – can work well with business and delivery teams to articulate objectives, acceptance criteria and expected results

 

·        Good team player – work well with Business Analysts, Developers, Business Stakeholders to understand and appreciate individual and shared goals and objectives and, in some cases, explain problems and proposed solutions

 

·        Experience working with release cycles of 3rd party business systems (i.e., Xytech MediaPulse, WideOrbit Program, Evertz Mediator, IBM Enterprise Service Bus)

 

·        Knowledge of the full build cycle of web and application development, including requirements development, test planning and execution, etc.

 

·        Experience with functional and non-functional testing

 

·        Experience implementing automated tests in an agile integration development environment

 

·        Experience with test data setup and management

 

·        Familiarity with testing tools – TestRail, TestLink, TestFLO for Jira, Selenium

 

·        Strong in SQL queries and databases

 

·        Webservices testing using Postman/SOAP UI Pro

 

·        Enterprise Service Bus integration testing

 

·        GUI testing with business validations

 

·        Batch testing with business validations
