Description:
OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope) –
 The QA Analyst works directly with the core Project Team, Release Manager to complete functional testing
 
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ideal candidate will have a BA/QA background, primary responsibilities will be QA Functional and Integration Testing
  • Well versed in TestRail or have working knowledge of similar testing and defect tracking tools i.e. JIRA
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Write use cases & test cases, create test plan & strategy
  • Update UAT documentation
  • Execute test cases (manually) and analyze results
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications/release notes
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Be ready and willing to work on other BA tasks as assigned

  • Core project team
  • Integrations test team
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
 
  • Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role
  • Experience in project management and QA methodology
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
  • Worked in Media/entertainment previously is a big plus
  • Experience with program scheduling, content rights, & integration testing is a big plus
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. JIRA)
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge, with proven experience, of Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications.
  • Must have excellent oral, written communication and time management skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven logical skills, detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a positive and focused manner during normal and stressful times
  • Excellent follow-up skills
