SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
 
 
The WMS/Distribution BSA will be a technology partner for our client's operations management and team members. The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with users and the leadership team for execution of strategies and operational plans that enhances our client's position as the ‘First Choice for IT’ for our customers. 
 
Our client is looking for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who can work on the implementation and optimization of Warehousing and Distribution Applications. The ideal candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience as a BSA working with Warehousing, Distribution and Fulfilment systems. Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation is a big plus.
 
The position requires excellent user focus, forward thinking, strong analytical capability, excellent problem solving, the ability to manage change, solid execution and a commitment to help the company meet operational and financial objectives and exceed user expectations. The WMS BSA must demonstrate and remain current on industry knowledge and expertise in a variety of warehouse management concepts, practices and procedures.
 
The day-to-day effort of the BSA personifies an IT culture that emphasizes quality, responsiveness, customer service, productivity, high standards and results. The BSA is responsible for partnering with team members in IT and Technology Service Centers (TSC) to deliver superior results.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs and recommend improvements
  • Research, define and document current “As is” business processes and recommend improvements
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, and workflow analysis
  • Create and maintain updated documentation on business processes, applications and business solutions including process flows, use cases, functional specifications, test cases, training and system manuals, and job aids
  • Serve as the conduit for the flow of requirements between the user community and the technology and support teams
  • Manage and maintain positive working relationships with IT solution and service providers.
  • Creation of structured project plans and ability to lead execution of the plan for small to medium projects
  • Lead and/or assist quality assurance activities
  • Research and assist in resolution of production support issues
  • Assist in identifying the root cause of system and operational issues, analyze data, and recommend solutions
  • Establish and support a positive work environment based on mutual respect, honesty, team work and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain off- hours availability to address critical business and/or IT situations.
 
 
Basic Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Greater than 5 years related BSA experience
  • Detailed knowledge in Warehouse Management/Inventory/Supply Chain concepts and Systems Solutions
  • Strong understanding of full development lifecycle and able to deliver solutions from concept to completion
  • Ability to partner with business stakeholders and technical team members to ensure effective communication and clarity on requirements and how they will be solutioned
  • Strong analytical ability including database modeling, querying and analytical tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform a plus.
  • Exposure to other supporting information technologies such as conveyor/sortation control systems, PLCs, bar coding and production scheduling is a plus.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Desire and ability to learn and apply new concepts and techniques.
