Position Summary/Critical Skills
Our client is looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst with strong problem solving and data analysis skills. This individual must be a self-starter, proactive and capable of performing in the role of individual contributor as well as a contributing member of the team that will assist with our client’s regulation, compliance and business needs
Candidate must be well organized, able to work independently and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to conceive, coordinate and implement automated procedures to improve productivity and accuracy along with superior Business and Data Analysis skills
Required Skills
Strong Data Management /Analysis/Reconciliation Experience – should have 4 – 7 years experience in a Business Data Analyst role
Strong PC Skills Excel (pivot tables, v lookups), Access, Word and Power Point
Experience working with and able to query data from SQL Server and Oracle DB tables
Collation of data from external sources
Strong Communication Skills with the ability to communicate to wide audiences
Experience working analytically with large datasets.
Experience performing current state analysis, gap analysis and future state analysis documentation (identifying and documenting procedures and process flows).
Nice to Have Skills
Financial Reporting/Analysis Experience is preferred
Knowledge of Python and SQL is preferred.
Regulatory Reporting and Attestation and Validation of Stress Tested Data is a plus
Financial Business Data Analyst
New regulatory capital rules require all bank assets to be tracked, monitored and reported in real-time by risk type. This mandated process is complicated, and it prevents banks from effectively unlocking the full value of their capital. Failure to comply with capital management and reporting requirements will jeopardize banks’ continuing operations and new business activity.

Knowledge of banking products and any exposure to Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting would be a plus.
Requirements/Skills
The qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate discretion and independent judgment. Prior data analytical experience and strong excel skills are a must. Must be able to deliver results on a deadline driven timeline.
Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting. Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data daily. Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems. Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of risk models and reporting systems. Implement effective risk controls of our data processes and systems. Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes.
Role will include
Analyze data to answer business questions and produce data-driven stories that reveal key insights into behavior, in particular using data visualization
Normalizing various forms of data. Populating SQL tables from scraped data.
Collation of data from external sources
Knowledge of Python and SQL is preferred.
Required Skills
Education BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science; graduate degree is preferred.

Ability to provide attention to detail and to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks.
Familiarity with global project planning, gap analysis, UAT scripts, and ability to deliver solutions within a matrix organization.
