BGI has the following contract position with our direct client located in Greenwood Village, CO
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
• Testing with cable infrastructure and other applications and integration tasks.
• Knowledge of HFC infrastructure.
• Experience with cable television technologies, Set-tops and applications.
• Subject Matter Expertise with Motorola / Arris controller and peripheral gear
• Familiar with Cisco/SA cable HE equipment.
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to Sr. Level executives, as well as participate as needed in meetings.
• Capable of making meaningful contributions to the design and engineering of existing deployment reworks and to new products
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and/or operations capacity within production environment of cable/MSO/MVPD environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing technical project management in an engineer role.
• Subject matter expertise in video transport, grooming, multiplexing and overall knowledge of MPEG2, MPEG4 in traditional cable/MSO/MVPD environments, specifically the configuration in the Moto / Arris platforms.
• Subject matter expertise in “Edge” device configuration and management including 256QAM video distribution techniques in cable/MSO/MVPD environments.
• Strong understanding of IP multicast video delivery.
• Strong understanding of Element Management Systems (EMS), provisioning and overall agility related to using various vendor tools/platforms.
• Strong operational footing, urgency, and extreme attention to detail.
• Expert in integrating new technologies into existing infrastructures
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and master new technologies and concepts quickly

• Expert in Channel Lineups vs. Channel Maps
• Expert in External Service Sets
• Expert in creation/modification of individual Services

• Expert in ARPDs configuration/support
• Expert in the SDM, usage related to device configuration bootP) etc
• Strong understanding of ROVI/VLS guide delivery infrastructure
