BGI has the following 9 month contract opportunity with our direct client located in NY NY
Responsibilities:
1. Able to understand business use cases of data
2. Able to open those use cases into technical data specifications
3. Good in grasping current state/architecture, perform data analysis, gap analysis and recommend or come up with target state/architecture
4. Good understanding of OLAP and OLTP data modeling methodologies
5. Experience working with large volume of data, several 100TB of data
6. Able to design appropriate data organization structures in S3 and databases (whether distributed or traditional RDBMS)
7. Experience with performance tuning and excellent SQL skills
8. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
9. Assist data integration team in design recommendations for the overall data integration platform
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required
2. Several years of experience with large scale transactional and distributed databases
3. Several years of experience with Data Architecture, Data Warehousing and Data Integration
4. Strong experience with Data Warehouse implementations and solutions
5. Recent experience with AWS services such as S3, data pipelines, SWF, Lambda, RDS, EMR and Redshift, to name a few
6. Experience with Oracle and MySQL preferred
